Finding, coaching and training public media's next generation.
The Next Generation Radio Project is a 5-day digital journalism and audio training project. Our hybrid (some people in-person, some WFH) program is designed to give competitively selected participants the opportunity to learn how to report and produce their own non-narrated audio piece and multimedia story. Those chosen for the project are paired with a professional journalist who serves as their mentor for the week.
“I just really wish I could do it again. There isn’t any other program that allows you to work one-on-one with a mentor like that. There should be a NextGen Alumni program so we get to experience it one more time.”
